Believe by E. Leighanne Grimm-Weever

Believe by E. Leighanne Grimm-Weever, self-published March 2, 2012 on Smashwords, is a Paranormal Romance set in Hanover, New Hampshire.

The story starts off with 19 year old Andrea Dayla moving to Hanover to start college at Dartmouth. As the story advances, we meet Shane Brennen and his family; his mom, Shura, his dad, Seeley, his brothers, Justin and Thomas, and his three sisters, Clara, Kelly and Lynnette. Shane and Andrea have a love connection (way too soon in my opinion) and we find out interesting secrets about all of them including the fact that *SPOILER ALERT* the Brennens are vampires. All of this happens way too fast and needs more detail, which would help clarify.

This book is extremely similar to Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. The storyline isn't a problem because I personally loved Twilight, however the lack of creativity is a big problem for me. I feel that every author needs to have their own plot before publishing a book, intentional or not. This is one of the down sides of self publishing, no professionals are there to tell you what needs to be corrected, which is done in regular publishing companies. Editors (which I hope to be one day) know what they are doing and went to college for this.

In the end, my love for Twilight pushes me to like Believe. Therefore, I would recommend it to Twilight fans.

Also, there were a lot of grammar errors, a comma missing here a word spelled wrong here. I tried to overlook it, I really did, but in the end it was just too much. If it was just once or twice it would be okay, however, it wasn't once or twice it was about 50 errors. Also, no 19 year old talks like Andrea. At one point, she is looking at a banister and she says something about sliding down it. While you may think this is just an author's tool to show the character's maturity, it really isn't. Andrea is characterized to be extremely mature and a leader. The contrast just doesn't mesh well.

After extensive research, this brief description from Barnes and Noble is all I was able to dig up on E. Leighanne Grimm-Weever.

"I'm a mother of three wonderful (and hyper) children. My husband is in the National Guard. I'm a stay at home mom and wife and working on getting my name and books out there. I love to read and write (usually have at least two stories in the works at a time). Anything else you want to know just ask :)"-Barnes & Noble
